About Reverberatory Melting Furnace
Reverberatory Melting Furnace is widely used for producing copper, nickel and tin, however, the main usage of this furnace is to smelt and refine without making a direct contact with the ore, but ensuring that the fuel heats the ore using a flame that is blown over it from the another chamber. During the making of steel, this process is considered to be obsolete and therefore, is called as open-hearth process.
